Prayers Answered
On Monday, November 29, 2010, God gave me the most glorious day of my 85 years. I'm a terminal colon cancer patient and live in a Pickaway Manor Assisted Living apartment, where Berger Hospice takes care of my comfort care needs. I awakened in pain at 6am.
I prayed and asked God to somehow make me a blessing to someone who was in special need of my attention within the facility where I live. As soon as my feet touched the floor, I felt pain free without any medication. Until 7 am, for one full hour, I moved around in my apartment praising God for His blessings!
When the clock showed 7am, a poem came to my mind, so I wrote it on paper, but while I was dressing for breakfast the second poem came and I added that one to the same page. As I was opening the door to leave for breakfast, a third poem came to me and I took time to record it as fast as I could write.
As I returned to my apartment, the fourth poem came. That went on all day long. As soon as one poem was finished another one came to me as fast as I could write. I thought each one would be the last, but they kept on coming one right after the other.
I was on number four when Michael Avery, President of God's Bible School and College in Cincinnati, Ohio called me in reply to a card he had received from me. I read the poems and though that was all there would be, but by the time I finished,d I had thirty-three. That was the age of Christ when he was crucified! Whenever I had something that I needed to do the poems stopped but as soon as I was finished with whatever I was doing they started again.
